The no-shame procrastination app
For people who plan a lot and start a little. Liven helps you notice what you're avoiding and take one action in 10 minutes a day.

Opportunity
This app is for you if you want to:
Start the thing you keep putting off
Break the all-or-nothing cycle
Understand why you stall
Drop the guilt after a slow day
Trade last-minute panic for small steps
Follow through without forcing it
How it works
3 steps to getting unstuck with Liven

Step 1: Name what you're dodging
Open the Journal and write the task down with the feeling underneath it. Putting the dread into words takes some of its weight off.
Step 2: Shrink it to one small step
Pick the smallest possible version of the task, something you could start in two minutes, and add just that to your To-Do.
Step 3: See your pattern
Look back at what you started this week in the Journal and notice what made starting easier or harder.

Morning
Start before you're stuck
Open the Journal and write down the one task you're dreading. Three messy sentences count.

Afternoon
Shrink the scary task
Add a 10-minute first step to your To-Do. If focus drifts after lunch, play binaural beats from Liven Sounds.

Evening
Close the loop kindly
Log your mood and mark what you started. One thing begun beats ten things planned.

Wish I had found you sooner!
I was a bit skeptical when I started using Liven, but the ad gave a perfect description of me and my life-long challenges, so I decided to try it. There is nothing gimmicky about it. Clear, concise explanations of why procrastination and perfectionism go hand in glove and strategies to address the feelings that prompt them are the foundations. One on one coaching with a live coach and/or an AI bot that is eerily person-like. It even has a sense of humor. I have been using it about a month and both my wife and my doctor (!) have commented that I seem more relaxed. My wife sees me making progress on numerous things I have been putting off, despite ADDING things that I like to do on top of them. The benefit that I am receiving vastly outweighs the cost. (And I am something of a tightwad.)
