Shanen Norlin is a licensed professional counselor and behavioral health specialist with 10+ years of experience helping people move through anxiety, burnout, grief, and major life transitions.

Her approach is collaborative and grounded. She believes real insight happens when people feel safe enough to be honest with themselves. Drawing on tools like mindfulness, cognitive reframing, and body-based techniques, Shanen helps clients step out of autopilot, reconnect with who they are, and build lasting clarity and self-compassion.

Throughout her career, Shanen has worked across a wide range of settings: schools, outpatient clinics, telehealth platforms, and community-based programs. This gives her a rare depth of perspective on how people experience and recover from mental health challenges. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and motivational interviewing, and brings a trauma-informed lens to every client she works with. A former certified school counselor (K–12), she has supported individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

Currently, Shanen maintains a private practice alongside her role as a behavioral health specialist at Premise Health. In both spaces, her goal stays the same: to create a place where clients feel genuinely heard and supported as they find their way forward.
